Giorgis Gozadinos
Born in 1974 in Athens, Greece, Giorgis graduated in 1997 from Athens National University obtaining a physics degree. He further pursued a career in physics, completing his PhD from Dublin City University in 2001 on plasma physics simulations. Later he worked for the Nationa
l Institure of Scientific Research of France funded by the prestigious Marie Curie scholarship. He has taught various courses for graduate and postgraduate students on computer simulation and has given talks at international conferences.
His interest in programming sidetracked him from academia, which he left in order to work for various companies in Ireland, France and Greece. After having worked on problems ranging from C kernel hacking to building portals using asp.net, he discovered python and plone in 2004 and immediately fell in love.
His long-time dream came about in 2006 when he started qi.
He lives in Athens with his wife Diana and twin girls Iris and Ioli.
Dimitris Moraitis
Dimitris got his first computer at the age of 7. Ten years later, he moved to Athens to study computer science at the Athens National University. He has been building web applications professionally since 2000.
He has been coding mostly in C, Java & php, but now strongly prefers Python and related technologies like Plone & Zope. He is also a competent GNU/Linux systems administrator and a free software advocate. His background as a tech activist brought him close to projects for the European & World Social Forums for which he built websites and various tools.
After having worked for several IT companies in Greece, he became an independent plone consultant. In 2007 he joined forces with qi. Dimitris currently lives in Athens and travels around the world on every opportunity.
